Chinook Arch Regional Library System

In December of 2021, Council passed a resolution to join the Chinook Regional Library System to provide library access for its residents. There are over 900,000 items that library cardholders can borrow, including books, movies, music, video games, and more. The Library System also has an extensive online collection, including eBooks, audiobooks, online magazines and newspapers, as well as access to learning apps like Gale Courses (online courses) and Solaro (homework help for grades 3 to 12). In addition, various libraries in Southern Alberta offer events for members of all ages.

Being part of Chinook Arch gives our citizens the opportunity to conveniently access educational and recreational resources available online and across Southern Alberta."

Membership

For Nobleford residents to sign up for the Chinook Arch Regional Library System, one must obtain a card through the home branch, Picture Butte Municipal Library. Membership rates vary, please refer to the Library's membership page. Once you have a Library card you are able to visit any participating library in the region, as well as full access to online resources. For the full list of participating libraries, click here.
