Councillor - Bill Oudshoorn "I joined council in October of 2021. My family and I have been part of the Nobleford community since 2000, after moving back to the area from Peace River, Alberta. My wife Jackie, a local farm girl, grew up near Nobleford and attended Noble Central School from grades 1 through 12. I grew up in Lethbridge and on a farm near Coaldale. Moving to Nobleford was a natural move. It became the community where we raised our family. As foster parents we have welcomed numerous children, as well as raising our 4 biological kids. We currently enjoy being parents and grandparents. My son and I have operated an automotive repair business in Nobleford since 2017. Prior to that I owned a trucking company for some time, but always had a desire to operate a family business and become engaged in community affairs. I am a journeyman mechanic, but have Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Lethbridge as well. I taught for the Peace River School Division and Edmonton Public Schools, both in classroom and virtual settings. Being part of council, my goal is to contribute to maintaining a vibrant community through strong leadership, transparency, and good stewardship of town resources." | |
